Saudia (SV, Jeddah International) resumed scheduled services to Peshawar on August 28 marking the Saudi national carrier's first flights to the north-western Pakistani town in over a month.

The carrier, alongside Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International), Emirates (EK, Dubai International), flydubai (FZ, Dubai International), and Gulf Air (GF, Bahrain International), all suspended, before subsequently resuming, their respective Peshawar operations in the wake of an attack on a PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (PK, Islamabad International) A310-300 on June 25 which left one woman dead and two other crew members injured.

Of the Gulf carriers, Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International) is the last to resume its Peshawar services with the suspension of its flights having expired on August 31.
