NokScoot (Bangkok Don Mueang) earlier this week unveiled its logo and branding via social media as it pushes ahead with its launch plans. Though no exact date has yet been set, the carrier intends to operate commercial flights out of Bangkok Don Mueang in the first quarter of 2015.

The long haul budget airline is a joint venture between Nok Air (DD, Bangkok Don Mueang) and Scoot (TR, Singapore Changi) in which both carriers own a 49% stake. The remaining 2% is held by Pueannammitr Co, a company formed by the management of Nok Air to acquire Pete Air Co, the airline whose Air Operators Certificate (AOC) NokScoot plans to use.

Using Scoot's outgoing fleet of B777-200(ER)s, NokScoot will offer low-cost flights to destinations in Japan, China, and South Korea.
