Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International) has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for four B777-Fs the CargoFacts publication has revealed.
The Qataris had signalled their intention to acquire the freighters, with options for four more, when they announced a USD37.7billion order for fifty B777-9Xs with a commitment for an additional fifty purchase rights at this year's Farnborough International Airshow 2014.
Qatar Airways operates six B777-Fs alongside three A330-200Fs on flights that span Europe, Russia, Asia, the United States, Africa, and the Middle East.
