Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas) is set to codeshare with Evelop Airlines (Palma de Mallorca) on the latter's Madrid Barajas to Cancún, Mexico flights. The agreement, according to the Spanish Preferente newswire, came into effect on September 17 and comes after months of negotiations between the IAG-affiliate and Evelop's parent firm, the Barceló Group.

The flights currently operate 3x weekly but will scale back to 2x weekly with the advent of winter. The ch-aviation route database shows Air Europa (UX, Palma de Mallorca) and Pullmantur Air (Madrid Barajas) already ply the route.
