Vistara (UK, Delhi International) has been forced to delay the delivery of its first aircraft, an A320-200 (sl) VT-TTB (cn 6223), from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) owing to a bureaucratic mix up. India's Live Mint newspaper says the aircraft was due at Delhi International this week but was forced to defer its arrival after the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) claimed the carrier's operations manual had not yet been officially sanctioned.

“As you are aware, there are multiple approvals and the completion of the process takes time. Moreover, since this is the delivery of our first aircraft, as a new airline, there are additional things which have to be done,” a spokesperson for Vistara said. “We need a little more time to file for over flight clearances. Hence, we have decided to defer our ferry flight.
