Southeast Airlines (Kenya) (Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta) is the latest Kenyan start-up to eye the country's lucrative, yet highly competitive Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta to Mombasa route. Having launched operations earlier this month, the African Express Airways (XU, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta) subsidiary offers daily flights between the two hubs using DC-9-30 5Y-AXF (msn 47093) wet-leased from its parent since August 29.
In the longrun, the carrier also intends to serve Kisumu and Eldoret domestically as well as Entebbe, Dar es Salaam, Juba and Dubai International internationally.
