Air Côte d'Ivoire (HF, Abidjan) took delivery of its first of a pair of Dash 8-400s, cn 4474, late last month ahead of its deployment on the carrier's maiden domestic routes to Bouaké, Korhogo, Man, CI, and San Pedro, CI on October 27. The second is expected towards the end of this month. Ordered from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) in December last year, the Ivorian carrier has options for an additional two.

Air Côte d'Ivoire had planned to offer domestic services shortly after its launch in 2011 only to defer flights as infrastructure at local aerodromes was found to be inadequate at the time.

In an interview with JenueAfrique magazine, CEO René Décurey said that in addition to the launch of its domestic network, the carrier is working on expanding its regional connectivity with cooperation agreements set to be signed with Arik Air (W3, Lagos), Air Burkina (2J, Ouagadougou), and ECAIR - Equatorial Congo Airlines (EQR, Brazzaville). Among the new destinations it plans to add later this year are Lagos and Nouakchott with Abuja, Luanda 4 De Fevereiro, and Bangui to follow in 2015.
