Thai VietJetAir (VZ, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has taken delivery of its first aircraft, HS-VKA (cn 2745). The A320-200 was sourced from Vietnamese parent, VietJetAir (VJ, Hanoi Noi Bai International), and arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi on October 16.

A joint-venture between VietJetAir and Thailand's Kannithi Aviation, parent firm of Kan Air (KND, Chiang Mai), Thai VietJetAir is currently undergoing certification with the Thai Department of Civil Aviation (DCA). Once its AOC has been secured, the carrier will likely launch with flights from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Phuket and Chiang Mai.
