LAN Airlines (Santiago de Chile) has outlined its tentative B787-9 timetable with initial flights scheduled to begin in October next year. Airline Route reports that the Chilean carrier will deploy the twinjet on 3x weekly flights from Santiago de Chile to Easter Island (Easter Island) beginning October 2, 2015 while a daily Santiago de Chile Int'l to São Paulo Guarulhos service is scheduled to begin on October 27, 2015.
Alongside the twenty B787-8s it has on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National), LAN is also due to get ten B787-9s of which four are firm orders while six are lease agreements with the International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC).
