Zimbabwe flyafrica (Harare International) has announced the launch of Namibian operations in February next year. Namibia flyafrica (Windhoek International) is the second airline launched by the flyafrica.com group and is a joint venture between Nomad Aviation t/a Bay Air Aviation (Windhoek Eros), a Namibia-based airline, and Flyafrica Ltd, a Mauritius-based private equity aviation investment group.

"Flyafrica.com will operate daily flights from Windhoek International to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo from Monday February 2, 2015. Namibia flyafrica will operate scheduled regional flights from Namibia to South Africa, Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe," the LCC said.

Service is on-board the carrier's fleet of five B737-500s.

At present, the LCC's Zimbabwean operation offers scheduled flights between Victoria Falls and Johannesburg with flights from Harare to Johannesburg due next month. Sources in Harare inform ch-aviation that the carrier's maiden domestic flights connecting Harare with Victoria Falls and Bulawayo are scheduled to commence in December.
