Atlasjet Airlines (Antalya) is close to finalizing a deal for fifty aircraft CEO Orhan Coskun told Reuters last week. Coskun did not disclose whether the order would be with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) or Boeing (BOE, Washington National) noting only that an announcement would be made in the near future.

"Because the exact number of planes is not yet clear, it would be wrong to say with whom the Istanbul-based carrier will place the order," he said.

With the exception of one B767-300(ER) on lease from euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon) for Nigerian Christian pilgrimage flights to Israel, the Turkish carrier currently operates an exclusively all-Airbus fleet of one A319-100, six A320-200s, and thirteen A321-200s. In addition to charter flights for Turkish tour operator Öger Tours, Atlasjet also operates scheduled services to destinations across Turkey, Greece, Iraq, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt and Moldova.
