airBaltic (BT, Riga) has entered into a cooperation agreement with Danish tour operator, SunCharter, with plans to offer charter flights from the northern Danish town of Aalborg to Greece beginning in spring next year.

SunCharter announced at a press conference last week that it would offer flights to Chania and Rhodes beginning in April 2015. The weekend flights will operate on-board a chartered B737-300 initially.

According to Denmark's CHECK-IN.dk, the contract is the Latvian carrier's first venture into the charter market.

SunCharter also has similar contracts with Jet Time (2006) (Copenhagen Kastrup) to serve Antalya in Turkey and Primera Air Scandinavia (Billund) to serve Varna in Bulgaria.
