China Eastern Airlines (MU, Shanghai Hongqiao) will commence non-stop flights from Nanjing to Los Angeles International with effect from March 2015. Though the route will operate on-board an A330-200, its frequency and schedule remain to be determined. Should it launch, the flight will be Nanjing's first trans-Pacific service.
Nanjing is the second-largest commercial centre in the East China region after Shanghai. Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) already operates a non-stop service to Frankfurt from Nanjing.
