Batik Air (ID, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) took delivery of its maiden pair of A320-200 (sl)s, PK-LAF (cn 6164) and PK-LAG (cn 6280), earlier this month Skyliner Aviation reports. The jets are part of a 2013 order parent Lion Air Group placed with Airbus in 2013 entailing sixty A320ceo, 109 A320neo, and 65 A321neo.

Aside from two A310-300s that featured in Lion Air' fleet between summer 2001 and spring 2002, the A320s are the first Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) metal to feature in the Lion Air Group.

Prior to the arrival, Batik Air's fleet had consisted of only Boeing (BOE, Washington National) machinery with two B737-800s and six B737-900(ER)s used on domestic and international services from its Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta and Manado bases.
