Air Berlin (1991) (Berlin Tegel) has not extended its codeshare agreement with Italian carrier, Meridiana (Olbia), the ItaliaVola flight blog has reported. The move, an obvious consequence of its new partner Alitalia's tie up with Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International), brings to an end a 3-year long cooperation agreement.

Signed in 2011, the contract had covered flights from Berlin Tegel, Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt International, Hamburg Helmut Schmidt, Munich, Nuremberg, and Stuttgart Manfred Rommel to Bari, Brindisi, Catania, Florence Peretola, Milan Malpensa, Naples Capodichino, Olbia, Palermo International, Lamezia Terme, Rome Fiumicino, Venice Marco Polo, and Verona.
