Royal Brunei Airlines (BI, Bandar Seri Begawan) has signed a lease agreement with Irish-based lessor Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services (AWAS) for two A320-200 aircraft due to be delivered during the second half of 2015.

"This announcement marks the beginning of our short haul fleet renewal process, ahead of the arrival of up to ten A320neo aircraft at the end of 2017," Royal Brunei's Deputy Chairman, Dermot Mannion, said. "Overall, we will soon operate one of the youngest short haul fleets in the world, to complement our B787-8 Dreamliner fleet on long haul.”

Royal Brunei operates four A320-200s and two A319-100s on flights to Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, China, and Singapore.
