Links Air (Humberside) has been awarded a 4-year contract to operate Cardiff to Anglesey flights by the Welsh local government. The new contract, in essence a renewal of Links Air's existing one, will run from December 10 and will see a double daily return flight being operated.

Anglesey is an island off the north west coast of Wales famed for its nuclear power station, wind farms, and charming abattoirs.

“We are delighted to be adding this service to our scheduled network including Doncaster/Sheffield to Belfast City and the Isle of Man and to adding in the coming weeks employment of additional crews, engineers, reservations and customer service staff, all supporting the value of this service and extra services to be added to the Wales and Yorkshire economies,” Linksair Commercial Manager, Roger Hage, said.

Until December 10, the route is operated on behalf of Citywing (Isle of Man).
