Blue Islands (SI, Jersey) will terminate direct services to Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris CDG, and Zurich in favour of a codeshare agreement with CityJet (WX, Dublin International). The Jersey-based carrier said in a statement that flights to the three European cities would end effective January 5, 2015, with all future Continental services - excepting Chambéry Aix-lès-Bains and Geneva which will remain a winter fixture - to be funnelled through Cityjet's London City hub.

The deal with Cityjet will add Paris Orly, Dublin International, Antwerp, and Rotterdam, to Blue Islands' network.

“Our codeshare with CityJet will transform travel to and from Jersey to Europe. Passengers will immediately have access to three new European cities on our network together with Amsterdam and Paris, significantly more frequency, and greater flexibility, and all bookable with Blue Islands," Rob Veron, the managing director of Blue Islands, said.

As a result of the move, Blue Islands will introduce a third daily rotation to London City early next year. The exact date for the increase, however, will only be announced in the coming weeks once schedules are finalised.
