Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) will début B787-9 operations in November next year with non-stop Toronto Pearson to Delhi International flights. The route will operate 4x weekly beginning November 1 with the smaller B787-8 being used occasionally. A 3x weekly B787-9 service to Dubai International is scheduled to start on November 3.

Air Canada last served Delhi via Zurich until 2007.

"The operating economics of these new aircraft make this service feasible and it will be the first route dedicated to the larger, B787-9 version of this aircraft, which begin entering our fleet in 2015,” Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Canada, said.

The Canadian carrier has twenty-two of the type on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National).
