LAN Airlines (Santiago de Chile) took delivery of its first A321-200 (sl), CC-BEA (cn 6364), at a ceremony held at Santiago de Chile on Friday December 5. The Chilean carrier has an additional nine on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) of which two more will be delivered by the end of the month.
As previously reported, the jet will make its debut as flight LA 142 between Santiago de Chile and Calama with other destinations set to include Arica Chacalluta International, Concepcion Carriel Sur, Copiapó Desierto de Atacama, Iquique, Puerto Montt International, and Punta Arenas International.
