Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) will commence scheduled flights out of the Serbian city of Nis with effect from July next year. EX-YU Aviation News reports the Hungarian budget carrier will offer a 2x weekly service to Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, CH effective July 3, 2015. The route will serve as a litmus test for future Wizz Air expansion at the airport.
Currently, the southern Serbian town sees seasonal service with Russia's Yamal Airlines (YC, Salekhard) set to commence its winter rotation from Moscow Domodedovo beginning December 28.
