Asiana Airlines (OZ, Seoul Incheon) has won a court injunction against a South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport directive ordering it to suspend its Seoul Incheon to San Francisco flights for a period of 45 days; punishment for the crash of flight OZ214 in July 2013 which killed 3 passengers. The court said the route should not be enforced until a full ruling on the matter has been made.

In its appeal, the South Korean carrier said the measure was unusual in that an accident would normally warrant a fine rather than a suspension of operations. The Seoul court, in its ruling, agreed with the carrier stating that halting the route before a definitive ruling is made "could cause a serious financial loss to Asiana."

The Wall Street Journal states the carrier also filed a complaint with the Seoul Administrative Court against the ministry's decision.
