Atlasjet Airlines (Antalya) has been unable to operate flights to the Iraqi cities of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah since January 1 the Hurriyet newspaper has reported. While the carrier did verify that officials have been dispatched to Baghdad to help resolve the issues impeding the flights, it did not clarify what they were.

"Until normal conditions are met, all passengers with tickets to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah will be refunded without any charges as of today,” the carrier said.

Atlasjet's Iraqi subsidiary, ZagrosJet (Erbil), is believed to be fully operational with schedules reflecting flights from its Erbil hub to Ankara Esenboga, Amman Queen Alia, Beirut, Munich, Amsterdam Schiphol, and Stockholm Arlanda.
