Avianca (Bogotá) has outlined its planned B787-8 operations timetable with its maiden commercial flight set for January 16 to New York JFK. Thereafter, the twinjet will be deployed on Latin American flights to Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini, São Paulo Guarulhos, Santiago de Chile and México City International in February. According to Airline Route, transatlantic services to London Heathrow and Madrid Barajas will begin in July.
The Colombian carrier has fifteen B787s on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National), the first three of which have already been delivered in December 2014.
