Deccan Charters (Bengaluru International) has partnered a private firm, Awadh Ifraland Ltd, in offering domestic Keralan flights. The venture's first flight - a daily Thiruvananthapuram to Kozhikode return service - is scheduled to launch on January 23 with additional sectors to Kochi International, Mangalore Bajpe, and Coimbatore to follow thereafter.

“We have got all the necessary clearance and approvals from the Airports Authority of India and other agencies to commence the flight operations. We have approached the government for exemption on VAT and other subsidies,” CEO Abdul Jaleel told a press conference this week.

Service is on-board a Cessna (single turboprop) 208B Grand Caravan.

Deccan Charters operates a similar venture in Himachal Pradesh state partnering Himalayan Bulls Airlines (Kullu) for charter flights between Kullu and Chandigarh.
