Susi Air (SQS, Jakarta Halim) will establish a base at Trunojoyo airport near Sumenep, a town on the Madura Island of East Java, this year a spokesman for the Sumenep Transportation Office has said.

"The management of Susi Air is currently making preparations to start new flights from Trunojoyo Airport, while coordinating with the relevant parties at Juanda airport in Surabaya to arrange the flight schedules," Moh Fadillah told the Jakarta Times this week.

Once established, the carrier will then open up flights to Surabaya, Bawean Island in Gresik, and Kangean Island.
