Scoot (TR, Singapore Changi) took delivery of its first B787-9, 9V-OJA (msn 37112), at a ceremony held at Everett on Saturday, January 31. The twinjet, the first of twenty B787s (ten B787-8s and ten B787-9s) the Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) subsidiary has on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National), is scheduled to arrive at Singapore Changi on February 2 before commencing revenue operations to Perth International on February 5.

The B787s will gradually replace the longhaul LCC's fleet of six B777-200(ER)s, now destined for its joint-venture with Thailand's Nok Air, NokScoot (Bangkok Don Mueang).
