Transavia Airlines (HV, Amsterdam Schiphol) has placed a firm order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for seventeen B737-800s with options for three more. The order, which is valued at USD1.6 billion at current list prices, will support the growth of the Air France-KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Group's low cost ambitions.

Including the fleet of its French sister, Transavia France (TO, Paris Orly), Transavia currently operates thirty-six B737-800s and nine B737-700s from Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Groningen, Lyon St. Exupéry, Nantes, Paris Orly, Rotterdam and Strasbourg Enzheim.
