Germania Flug (Zurich) took delivery of its first aircraft, an A319-100, at a ceremony held at Zurich on February 25. The jet, D-AHIL (cn 3589), is set to be re-registered as HB-JOH before being deployed on scheduled flights to Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece for HolidayJet (Zurich) later this month.
In terms of operations, GermaniaFlug is a joint-venture between Germania (Berlin Schönefeld) and Swiss tour operator, Hotelplan, which will, in-turn, charter the aircraft out to HolidayJet, a Hotelplan brand.
