Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) has set July 26 as the launch date for its maiden intercontinental services to Europe. Dutch aviation site Zakenreisnieuws says the Chinese carrier will operate a 3x weekly service between Xiamen and Amsterdam Schiphol using its fleet of B787-8.
To help bolster demand for the route, Xiamen Airlines earlier this month signed a memorandum of cooperation with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam Schiphol) and the City of Amsterdam.
