Air Seychelles (HM, Mahé) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Air France (AF, Paris CDG) to enhance their strategic cooperation ahead of the Seychellois carrier's resumption of direct flights to Paris CDG later this summer.

Signed at a meeting between the two carriers in Aix en Provence in France this past weekend, the MoU lays the groundwork for a commercial agreement that includes codesharing, the ability for frequent flyers of both airlines to earn reciprocal points, and technical and cargo cooperation, subject to regulatory approvals from both countries’ respective civil aviation authorities.

“The renewed partnership with Air France is a significant milestone for Air Seychelles and forms a key part of our strategy to build upon tourism arrivals from France and the wider Europe region. It is something that we have worked very hard to achieve," Joël Morgan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Transport and Chairman of Air Seychelles, said.

The French carrier has a similar partnership agreement with another Indian Ocean operator, Air Mauritius (MK, Mauritius).
