Cham Wings Airlines (SAW, Damascus) is planning to expand its international network with the launch of flights to Dubai International and Kuwait beginning early next month.

According to the state-run SANA newswire, Syria designated Cham Wings a national carrier last year and as such, it has been aiding Syrianair (RB, Damascus), which is under US and European sanctions, in maintaining domestic and regional connectivty.

In December last year, it inaugurated a 3x weekly service to Beirut and has plans to develop other regional routes including Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, Cairo International in Egypt as well as several European destinations.

Currently, Cham Wings runs daily flights from Damascus to Kameshli, in the north-east of the country, and weekly flights from Damascus to the Iraqi city of Najaf.
