BQB Líneas Aéreas (Punta del Este) will indeed resume operations on Monday, May 4 with return flights between Montevideo Carrasco and Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery, Argentina. The route, operated on-board the Uruguayan carrier's ATR72-500s and Amaszonas CRJ200s, will use Amaszonas (Z8, La Paz El Alto) flight numbers.

The founder and former CEO of the Uruguayan operator, Juan Carlos López Mena, finalized the sale of the airline to the Bolivians in the middle of last month paving the way for BQB to continue operations. Reports at the time had suggested BQB's fleet of ATR72s would be eventually be replaced with CRJ200s sourced from its new parent.
