Volaris (Y4, México City International) has outlined its proposed A321 operational network following the arrival of its first of two A321-200 (sl)s on lease from the Air Lease Corporation (ALC) last month.
According to Airline Route, XA-VLH (cn 6558) will make its commercial debut on June 1 on flights between México City International and Cancún to be followed by daily Mexico City-Monterrey Mariano Escobedo operations on August 17.
A second aircraft of the type - XA-VLJ (cn 6601) - is expected to arrive later this quarter.
In February 2014, Volaris signed a letter of intent with an aircraft lessor for ten A320neo and six A321neo. The first of the A320neo will be delivered next year while the first A321neo will arrive in 2017.
