Consiliul Judeţean Dolj, the operator of Craiova airport in south-western Romania, says the facility will temporarily close with effect from June 1 to allow for resurfacing works to its main runway 09/27.
The closure is expected to last the whole of the summer season following which Craiova will reopen to traffic.
Among the operators affected are Wizz Air (W6, Budapest), as well as Blue Air (Romania) (BLA, Bucharest Henri Coanda) and Aegean Airlines (A3, Athens) which had planned to operate charters to Antalya later next month.
