Located 100 kilometres south of Poland's capital, Warsaw, the airport at Radom Warsaw has announced it will see its first scheduled operations in autumn of this year.

In a press release, operator Port Lotniczy Radom SA said that Latvian carrier airBaltic (BT, Riga) would commence a 3x weekly service to Riga beginning September 1. All flights are on-board Q400 turboprop aircraft.

Air Baltic will also start operating a weekly B737-300 service from Warsaw Chopin to Poprad/Tatry on a seasonal basis starting December 15. It will be its first service to another country outside its Baltic home market.
