TACV - Cabo Verde Airlines (Praia) will begin flights to João Pessoa Castro Pinto International during the last quarter of the year thereby marking the north-east Brazilian port city's maiden intercontinental flight.
The Cape Verdian carrier said in a statement that the weekly flight to Praia would go live from November 20.
Currently, João Pessoa sees only domestic Brazilian flights.
In line with its goal of developing the Cape Verde Islands into a mini Trans-Atlantic hub, TACV already offers flights to Europe from Boston and Providence in North America and from Fortaleza International in Brazil. Flights from Recife are scheduled to launch next month.
