Croatia Airlines (OU, Zagreb Franjo Tuđman) President and CEO Krešimir Kučko says his airline is planning to take delivery of four A320neo from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) in 2021 with talks currently ongoing over their proposed financing. The jets may either supplement or replace Croatia Airlines' existing fleet of four A319-100s and two A320-200s which collectively average sixteen years of age.

Speaking to the Zagreb Jutarnji list newspaper, Kučko said the aircraft would be a conversion of four A319-100s the Croatian national carrier ordered back in 2008. The quartet were slated to have arrived back in 2013 but have been repeatedly deferred in the wake of Croatia Airlines' past problems with profitability.
