Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) is in talks with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) and Boeing (BOE, Washington National) concerning a new aircraft order with Chief Executive Officer Josef Varadi describing its proportions as 'large'. He told Reuters newswire in an interview that the new jets would cover growth from 2018 onwards.

The Hungarian LCC, Eastern Europe's most prominent carrier, is currently an all-Airbus operation employing a fleet of fifty-nine A320-200s. In September 2013, it converted twenty-six out of its ninety A320-200 orders into A321-200s the first of which is scheduled to arrive in time for a November 20 debut.
