Iconair (ICN, Karachi International) has announced plans to acquire A320 Family aircraft having recently advertised for Airbus A319/A320/A321 crew.
A joint-venture between Saudi, Canadian, and Pakistani interests, Iconair secured its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) in June last year with plans to offer ACMI and Ad-hoc cargo and passenger charter flights both domestically and internationally.
Initial plans had called for a fleet of B737-300(QC)s to serve destinations in South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
