Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) has announced it will replace twenty of its forty-five existing E190s with five A320 Family jets and five B767-300 aircraft before the end of the year.

The initiative was announced as part of the Canadian carrier's 2013 deal with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for 109 Boeing 737 MAX which are due for delivery from 2017 onwards. Under the deal, Boeing will acquire the twenty Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos Professor Urbano Ernesto Stumpf) Regional Jets with Boeing Capital Corp. to remarket them thereafter.
