Capital Airlines (China) (JD, Beijing Daxing International) is looking to make its intercontinental debut later this year with the launch of flights to Copenhagen Kastrup, Denmark. The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said in a recent disclosure that the Hainan Airlines (HU, Haikou) subsidiary has applied for permission to operate weekly flights to the Danish capital from Beijing Capital and Hangzhou using A330-200 aircraft.

The Hangzhou-Copenhagen route will commence on September 3, with the Beijing service following on September 6.

Capital Airlines currently operates a fleet of twenty-seven A319-100s and twenty-nine A320-200s primarily on domestic Chinese flights with international services offered to Japan, South Korea, and Thailand.
