Kam Air (RQ, Kabul) has ended Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) operations with the recent sale of its sole A320-200, YA-KMA (cn 480), to Iran Aseman Airlines (EP, Tehran Mehrabad). Research shows the twinjet has now become EP-APG on the Iranian registry.

The move contradicts a Kam-Air announcement issued in November last year stating that it wanted to transition to an all-Airbus operation by retiring its Boeing (BOE, Washington National) and McDonnell Douglas (Long Beach) machinery.

As it now stands, the Afghan carrier operates one B767-200(ER), one MD-82, two MD-83s, and two MD-87s on scheduled passenger and cargo flights to Lashkargāh Bost, Herat, Kandahar, Mazar i Sharif, and Tirinkot locally and Delhi International, Dubai International, and Dushanbe regionally. It also wet-leases two B747-200(F)s from TCA - The Cargo Airlines (N6, Tbilisi).
