Cebu Pacific Air (5J, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) has placed a firm order with ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) for sixteen ATR72-600s with options for an additional ten of the type. Announced during the ongoing Paris Air Show 2015 at Paris Le Bourget, the order is valued at USD673 million based on current list prices.
The Filipino carrier intends to use the updated turboprops, which will feature 78 seats in a new high-density configuration, to replace its current fleet of eight ATR72-500s.
Cebu Pacific uses its ATRs on domestic flights throughout the Philippines archipelago.
