Eurowings (EW, Düsseldorf) will shift its headquarters from Düsseldorf to Cologne later this autumn German paper the Rheinische Post has reported. A Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) spokesman said the switch would only be administrative and would not affect its subsidiary's flight operations, which will remain routed in Düsseldorf. An exact date has yet to be fixed.
In a bid to claw back lost ground, Lufthansa is repositioning Eurowings as a Low Cost Carrier operating in the European regional as well as the intercontinental markets.
