Thai Lion Air (SL, Bangkok Don Mueang) is set to take delivery of its maiden B737-800 - HS-LUH (msn 39859) - ch-aviation research has revealed. The LCC had originally planned to acquire a pair of -800s ahead of its launch in 2013 only to swap them for an ATR72-600, sourced from Indonesian parent Lion Air's order book, at the last moment.

With the ATR72 now in service with Wings Air (Indonesia) (IW, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta), Thai Lion Air operates an all-Boeing (BOE, Washington National) fleet of thirteen B737-900(ER)s. While its network encompasses eight destinations located throughout Thailand at present, the LCC is planning to roll out international services to Singapore Changi as well as Taiyuan in China later this quarter.
