Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, São Paulo Viracopos) has deferred plans to go public for the second time in two years. While it did not offer any exact reason for the delay, it is believed weak market conditions brought on by Brazil's stagnating economy were a key factor.

In its IPO prospectus unveiled in December last year, the Brazilian budget carrier said it planned to list on both the New York and São Paulo stock exchanges but did not disclose how much equity would be sold off.

Analysts have stated Azul seeks to raise as much as USD1 billion from the sale though no official projections have yet been released to corroborate this.
