Malawi Airlines (3W, Lilongwe) has added a maiden B737-700 to its fleet with the arrival of ET-ARB (msn 30687) on lease from parent Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa International) earlier this month. The twinjet replaces a B737-800 and joins a Dash 8-400, also leased from Ethiopian.

Formed in 2013 as a joint-venture between Ethiopian, Malawian nationals and the Malawian government, Malawian Airlines serves Lilongwe locally as well as Beira, Dar es Salaam, Harare International, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, Lusaka, Maputo, and Tete regionally.
