Greenland Express (Aalborg) has formally abandoned plans to resume operations this year following a series of delayed relaunch dates.

"It is with great regret that we are unfortunately forced to cancel all flights between Denmark and Greenland for the rest of 2015," the airline told customers in statement. "This means, unfortunately, that we cannot provide the transport service you have purchased from us."

Having suspended operations in September last year, the virtual carrier had planned to recommence operations with flights from Billund to Greenland on at least four separate occasions this year alone - July 2, then July 14, then July 27, and ultimately August 17.

No official reason for the deferral has been given at the time of going to press.
