t'way Air (TW, Daegu) has secured its Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP) from the US Department of Transportation (DOT) following an application lodged in February of this year.

The South Korean LCC is now permitted to offer both scheduled and chartered, passenger and freight flights between South Korea and the United States and beyond.

The arrival of the permit, however, comes a month after T'Way had intended to begin scheduled Seoul Incheon-Guam International flights using one of its ten B737-800s.

Rivals Jin Air (LJ, Jeju) and Jeju Air (7C, Jeju) already operate the route while Jeju Air and Air Busan (BX, Busan) compete in the Busan to Guam market.

T'Way plans to initially operate a daily Incheon-Guam service from September 24 and a three times weekly Daegu-Osaka Kansai-Guam International service starting October 1, both operated by B737-800s.
